6/24/24 - ride everywhere
There are a thousand different reasons I could tell you to ride a bike: but the one reason I ride is because the experiences a small trip on your bicycle can bring is immense. One of the trips I go on all the time is just outside of my neighborhood and around two ponds. In the span of 15 minutes, or a loop around, I see so many different birds, little bunnies, and even deer. It genuinely feels like my bikes noise is mistaken for Cinderella’s voice, because it brings out the life of nature. I guess that is really the defining sentence. It brings out the life of nature.
That reaches further even, into the concrete world. Just yesterday I decided to try a new path, and stay on-road. It was only a short distance I had gotten out before it started to rain. I had planned for it; and my intent was to get rained on.
I’ve realized that rain brings me back to a sense of childhood: when anytime there was a thunderstorm; you’d find me playing outside.
As adults, we need to play outside more.
There is an importence in experiencing the environment around you. Get on a bike; start to pedal, feel your pedals, and go immerse yourself.
